As I have mentioned above, we are going to propose a very simple recipe, first because of its essence and authenticity, secondly, because what we really want is that you enjoy in a very easy way. So, to make cupcakes with marijuana butter you will need the following ingredients and stuff:

For the muffins:

115 grams of normal butter
160 grams of flour
225 grams of sugar
2 large eggs
1 packet of yeast
1 pinch of salt

150 grams of marijuana butter (you can buy it or make it yourself with regular butter and marijuana).
A few drops of food colouring (with the colour you prefer)
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pinch of salt

Paper for cupcake moulds (optional)
Pastry bag

Have you got everything? Then, take note of the following steps:

Step 1: Mix the flour, salt and yeast together. On the other hand, mix the butter and sugar. When you are at this point, keep in mind that to be able to handle the butter well, the best thing is that it is a little soft, as an ointment is usually said. Stir until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.

Step 4: Put it in the oven previously heated to 170 degrees. Let it cook for 20-25 minutes. To check if the dough is done we may prick the dough with a knife, and if it comes out clean, means the cupcake is done.

Step 5: While the cupcakes are baked in the oven, let’s prepare the butter with which we are going to decorate them. To do this, mix all the ingredients mentioned above, and if we see that the dough is very soft, put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 6: In that time we will have already taken the muffins out of the oven and once they are cold, decorated with the cream made in step 5, we put it in a pastry bag and make the shape we want.

When it comes to making the top cream, we can add more or less food coloring depending on our tastes, but also on the intensity of the color we want to give it.

In this case we have previously put marijuana in the butter for the cupcake decoration. A muffin that, moreover, will be made of chocolate. To make this recipe, very similar to the one above, we will need:

250 grams of flour
1 packet of yeast
400 grams of normal butter
100 grams of marijuana butter
4 eggs
1 glass of sugar
250 grams of pure chocolate in tablet or powder form

2 tablespoons sugar

As a kitchen stuff, we will use the same as in the first recipe for marijuana cupcake. Have you got it already? Perfect, because we’ll start with the steps to make a marijuana cupcake with chocolate:

Step 1: we put the chocolate to melt in the bain-marie. While this is being done, melt almost all the butter that we will mix with the sugar in a bowl , with the help of a stick or, if you prefer, with a mixer.

Step 2: While we are still beating, add the melted cocoa as well as the flour. But the latter, we will introduce it by sifting, so that it’s much easier to work with and then to digest it. Keep beating until there are no lumps in the dough.

Step 3: Place the dough in the different cupcake moulds, fill in them up to the half, and then, bake them for 20-25 minutes. Now that we know if they are ready or not, we just need to move on to the fourth step.

Step 4: We will make the muffin decoration as in the recipe above. Changing the color of the dye is probably what you want the most in this case. To do that, you may use the red or yellow color and for this recipe, for example, using a dark red that we will mix with blue. Some people use blueberries for a more beautiful color and natural flavor. It’s another option.

👌 How to make vegan marijuana cupcake suitable for celiacs (gluten free)

Let’s go now with our latest recipe, the most complete and healthiest of all, but just as simple as the previous ones.

In order to elaborate it we will need:

2 tablespoons flax seeds (if possible, we’ll have left them overnithg – about six tablespoons – or at least an hour before we start handling them)
1 tablespoon baking powder
250 grams of rice flour (or other flour suitable for celiacs)
Half a tablespoon of ginger
Half a tablespoon of cinnamon
Same with bicarbonate and cannabis butter
¾ tablespoon of coconut sugar
¼ tablespoon of nutmeg
2 tablespoons of soy milk (or other vegetable, add it to taste)
150 grams of grated carrot

Now that you have all the ingredients, the steps to proceed are the following:

Step 1: Mix the ginger, cinnamon, yeast, flour and baking soda in a bowl.

Step 2: In another bowl we will do the same with sugar, flaxseeds, milk, marijuana butter and carrot. When you have these ingredients well mixed, gradually add the ingredients of the first step.

Step 3: Pour the mixture into the cupcake moulds and preheat the oven to 170 degrees (with 10 minutes will be enough). In this case, fill them a little more than half full. It’s not necessary to reach the top of the mould.

You could say Vanessa Lavorato knows a thing or two about cooking with cannabis. Not only is she co-host of Viceland’s weed-infused cooking show Bong Appétit, but she also owns her own confectionery, Marigold Sweets. At the recent Miss Grass Get Good at Weed Virtual Summit on 4/20, Lavorato led us all in a good vibes-filled workshop on how to infuse your own cannabutter—a process that looks like it wouldn’t be too tricky to accomplish yourself. (But if you’re feeling chilllll, you could use an oil infuser instead.) Here, she shares one of her favorite ways to use up that cannabutter goodness: in a batch of super tasty cosmic blueberry crumble muffins. Make ’em now, make ’em tomorrow, make ’em whenever you want to eat something that you can pretend isn’t *secretly* a mini cake dessert.

“Muffins are just cupcakes in disguise,” says Lavorato. “Except, instead of a cloying frosting mounded on top, they’re laced with a lighter accoutrement, like a crumble.”

The sugar, flour, and butter crumble topping is also a great way to dose a treat. “If someone is opposed to edibles, you can easily omit the crumble or quickly whip together a weed-free version [of it] without having to make two batters,” Lavorato explains. To double up on the blueberry flavor, she also recommends using Blueberry buds when doing your infusing.

Brown Butter Crumble:
1g of flower
½ stick / 56.5g unsalted butter
½ cup / 100g sugar
½ cup / 60g AP flour
⅛ tsp salt

Preheat your oven to 245°F (118°C). Break up the gram of weed, remove the stems, place on a sheet pan lined with parchment or in a baking dish and decarb in the oven for 20 minutes (you can do less time for less stoney effects). Let cool, then grind. While the weed is decarbing, combine the flour, sugar and salt; set aside. Melt the butter in a small saucepan on medium low, add the decarbed weed and whisk until the butter begins to caramelize and turn brown (roughly six to ten minutes). Pour the melted butter through a strainer into the flour and mix to make a fine buttery sand. Measure the total weight (200g) and divide between 18 muffins.

2 cups / 240g AP flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1 cup / 200g sugar
½ cup / 118ml vegetable oil
1 tbsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
½ cup / 120g plain yogurt *if using greek, add an additional 2 tsp lemon juice
¼ cup / 60ml lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
1 cup / 180g blueberries

Line a muffin tin with paper cups. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl with a handheld mixer or stand mixer, beat the egg until light and frothy then slowly add the sugar; beat until lighter in color and thick. Add the oil, vanilla, salt, yogurt, lemon juice and zest; mix together. Gently mix in the dry ingredients by hand until just combined. Add the blueberries (saving some for the tops) and scoop into the paper cups. Dot with extra blueberries and sprinkle with equal amounts of brown butter crumble. Bake for 20-22 minutes; until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
