Do tristar strawberries grow true from seed?

I’ve read that hybrid strawberries don’t grow true from seed and you need a runner to propagate. Tristar strawberries are hybrids so I’m wondering if it holds true that its seeds won’t grow true. Anyone know or confirm that is or isn’t the case? Thanks.

I agree that makes sense, but I’ve come across conflicting information in general about which plants grow true from seeds which is why I decided to ask. No harm. As for strawberries, most are sold as plants, even non-hybrids.

Very few hybrid plants reproduce faithfully from seed. They may look very similar to the parent hybrid but they wont be exactly similar. And many hybrids are sterile and do not produce ANY viable seed while most others will not come true to type, with varying degrees of reversion to the parent species. Exact or clonal reproduction must be done vegetatively.
