People are smoking weed laced with bug spray to get high

Friday, March 23, 2018

Officials in San Diego, Minneapolis, and Atlanta are reporting multiple overdoses of drugs laced with heavy duty bug spray that induces a “slow and lethargic” zombie-like drooling and loss of bodily functions.

CBS affiliate WTTV reports that the drug is called “Katie” or KD.

Drug dealers and other individuals lace marijuana or tobacco with heavy-duty bug spray, like Raid, officials say.

Paramedics report treating dozens of overdoses of KD a day. They sometimes treat the same individual multiple times in a single day.

“We find them with their clothes off, eating the grass, pulling dirt out of the ground and trying to put it in their mouth,” Major told WTTV.

Some drug users never recover completely from the overdose.

Police and health officials are trying to find the main source of the drugs.

The dealers need to be rated out l don’t want bug spray in my weed just unadulterated Northern Lights .

Growing up I use to watch my folks smoke J’s dance, and giggle all night then eat a smorgasbord of food they prepared all day. Then they’d call us down to do the latest dances, and laugh at each others failed attempts. THIS NEW WEED is not the same they have too many varieties, and too many alterations that just kill the purity; making folks lose their darn marbles.

Smh, people trying to escape reality. I mean how high do you really need to get. Get a couple dranks and take yo behind to bed.

Bug spray has a distinct smell, these folks need to smell the product before purchase. My pacs stay loud from a reputable source.

I’ve never understood tbe need to escape from reality, and I abhor the very thought of not being in complete control of my actions, so getting high on weed or bug spray or anything else is a problem that I will never have to deal with.

Bunch of idiotic group of people. “Drugs are bad. Mmmkay.”

That’s what I did last night and it was good enough. I couldn’t imagine getting high off bug spray!

ON PURPOSE .
THE FLUCK .

Is the week over yet? Because, well. I said this earlier in the week. And I’m standing by it. HAPPY FUKKIN FRI-YAY YALL!

AAAAANNNNND AGAIN. THIS falls under the “zombies” aspect.

This very well may be my comment for the rest of the day/week. And it’s not even 12 o’clock yet. Seems SO APPROPRIATE to put here as I did down in the other post.

RIP to the victim.

The world as we know it will be no more in 20 years. Between Alexa sitting in yo house, self driving cars, mass shootings, domestic bombings, trump, smartTV’s and watches, social media, teachers with guns, winter weather in summer months, floodings in landlocked states, pedophiles with rights, folks killing (off) babies, police shootings, Narcan to revive these zombies, 4-for-4 meal deals, men turning into women and women living like men, etc. We’re doomed people. Are you prepared for a fallout? Do you have your survival gear ready? Do you have your camping gear in order? Phn chargers and money won’t work in the end. *shakes at the thought*

Walking Dead among other things is broadcasting the future.

Raid is for roaches! Also, this drug causes people to get bucky-nekkid?

They been spraying roach spray on low grade weed! Y’all just now catching on. My mans weed one time last year got me high af (I’m not a weed smoker) I was like Bae ya shit is laced forreal stop smoking that!!
But years ago the guys at the corner store told us it was weed was laced with Raid

That’s because people are not real coursers of marijuana, and think the hype of how loud the bud smells indicates it’s potency. NOT the case, in fact if it smells too loud you should be concerned about what you’re getting. Also, not every bud is created equal. not every bud produces the same effect, and you don’t want it to. These people are smoking just what ever. and it gives the cannabis plant a bad rep

And they are not going to try and use this to take the light off these damn folks that are shooting up that heroine and shit. Between mass shootings and heroine, THEY are on the path to their own extinction.

See. I just said this the other day! C R A Z Y .

Agreed, call me corny but no thanks. I get high off love, lol.

people in jamaica are messing with the embalm crap and they’re gone mad out there. It just seems like a lot of people are dying to get a great high. No me, no sir.

It never appealed to me to be so high out of my mind, that I have no control over what I’m doing. I like to drink every once in a while and have a nice buzz going on, but that’s it.

Roach Spray? If my great grandmother was alive and caught us doing roach spray she would’ve took the can and sprayed it in our face! Tide pods, Anti Freeze and now ROACH SPRAY? Never did drugs but this dum ass society make me wanna get naked and jump off a bridge! Don’t wanna live with a dumass president and citizens no more.

New weeds more potent but different strains can address different health issues. Indica is good for pain but some strains work best on specific issues ,sativa strains keep you active you wont just sit dead to the world like a indica blend

Are People Really Smoking Weed Spiked With Bug Spray?

It’s fairly common for people selling and using black market street drugs to lace them with a variety of other substances. This often creates dangerous scenarios, as it’s hard to predict exactly how people will react to different additives. Recently, reports from around the country show that people are now lacing drugs with bug spray. This new trend runs the gamut, from weed spiked with bug spray to injecting crystallized bug spray.

Lacing Drugs with Bug Spray

Over the past few months, it’s become increasingly common to hear about people lacing drugs with bug spray. For example, a man in Tennessee smoked a combination of meth and bug spray before breaking into a home and attempting to cut his throat in front of a mother and her children.

Similarly, sources in Mississippi reported that people were making “hotshots” by covering metal mesh screens with bug spray and then heating the metal until the spray crystallizes. Then, people melt it down and inject it.

Additionally, there are numerous stories of people spraying their weed with bug spray, letting it dry, then smoking it. Other times, people soak synthetic marijuana in bug spray, or sometimes even regular cigarettes.

Regardless of the method of consumption, smoking or injecting bug spray produces some really dangerous effects. According to the Indy Star, it gives users an intense high that typically lasts for as long as 45 minutes, leaving users in a zombie-like state of catatonia.

Often times, people end up experiencing something very close to a seizure and have severe difficulty breathing.

Making It Hard For Medics

Lacing drugs with other chemicals and substances is a fairly common practice. It gives users new highs and provides sellers a cheap way to stretch their product and make it more potent.

“You’re looking at people who will mix [a chemical] with a drug as a way to try to make more profit,” Indiana Poison Center doctor Daniel Rusyniak told the Indy Star.

“Cutting your drug with ingredients has been a longtime thing that drug dealers have done to increase profits.”

But it also makes it very hard for medics trying to treat negative side effects and overdoses. In many cases, when a person has a bad reaction, first responders don’t know what is causing the harm because it’s unclear what the person actually consumed.

Similarly, when people start adding new substances to drugs, as is the case with bug spray, nobody knows beforehand how it will end up affecting users.

Final Hit: Are People Really Smoking Weed Spiked With Bug Spray?

Clearly, there’s nothing new about lacing drugs with other ingredients. This is also true when it comes to cannabis. Bug spray isn’t the first chemical people have laced their weed with. For example, “wet” is essentially weed that’s soaked in PCP.

Similarly, people often lace synthetic marijuana with formaldehyde. This is especially dangerous since synthetic marijuana can do serious damage all on its own.

But it gets even worse when it’s laced with other chemicals, whether it’s formaldehyde, bug spray, or anything else.

Do we need to worry about accidentally buying weed spiked with bug spray?
