Guide/Worldgen Seeds

Reason: “Useless.

When generating a new world in Oxygen Not Included, you can enter a seed (by selecting Custom Game), which will determine what generates in the world.

Players can compile seeds and the properties of the worlds they generate here.

Note that when a new major update is released, it will change the result of generating worlds with these seeds.

If they get enjoyment out of remarkably easy games then that’s great for them, but it does come at the cost of learning nothing as there’s no challenge to facilitate learning. It’s not the same type of game. If you load a save it’ll tell you all the geysers on the map, and then you can edit their type and rates if you want, and re-save it. You have to go through it to get to the natural gas. We all learn differently and analogies like that are generalizations. Generalizations leads to dead-end discussions. 2 cool steam vents / 2 natural gas geysers, plus: I play both hand-picked seeds and random seeds, and they’re both challenging for me. You can’t say that by choosing what geysers are in the map you can’t learn anything. When playing Pokemon -> You gather pokemons -> You build a team -> You train your pokemons -> You fight other trainers. The game is already a challenge when you start. Deep inside an alien space rock your industrious crew will need to master science, overcome strange new lifeforms, and harness incredible space tech to survive, and possibly, thrive. (And just because I thought of this little quote even though it has no link : Opinions are like *******s. Everybody has one.) Chicken. I have been making maps and using debug to scout them, but it takes too long when I’m looking for something specific. I’m not saying it. When you have 800 hours in ONI and launched hundreds of rockets then you won’t have a challenge when choosing a seed with lots of cool slush geysers. Hence my post. It’s their loss, but to each their own. The list of useable geysers is very small. 4. I’m assuming yes for at least removing geysers due to the ruins deletion. Setting up an electrolyzer system? And the 2 cool steam are a good clip away. (And just because I thought of this little quote even though it has no link : Opinions are like *******s. Everybody has one.)

For some people, yes. Forget it. Why not just build in debug? The two oilwells next to each other is nice. Your RTS “God Mode” comparison is more in line with debug though, in that it’s usually used to test new ideas with little to impede you (or they suck You literally said that you learn nothing by making an analogy between a 7v1 RTS game and choosing a seed in ONI. Once you get a map with 5 co2 geysers you might change your mind. Why not just build in debug?

hidden natural gas, iron, 2 gold, copper, steam, hot polluted oxygen and a cool slush. Close. From Oxygen Not Included Wiki. 2 cool steam vents / 1 natural gas geyser / 1 chlorine geyser, plus: 5. Sadly, the one map I had that (25 west and 15 down) was a really crappy hydrogen geyser. Of the map seed i tried “1” is the best. Like is this not the same as turning on god mode and stomping computers on easy in an RTS? I’d go with that sentence. The second one is just like “mix all the stuff together and enjoy free cool gold”. Using a seed removes all mystery and excitement when you find a POI and don’t know what it is yet. Especially if you have scouted the map and know exactly where to look. Hmmm. Good question. I looked it up and copied it.

No guarantees on how far from spawn, but when I was looking for a slush geyser, I wrote down the following from people’s recommendations on the forums that also had hydrogen: There is an error on TNI I can’t see the map. They’re having their fun and that’s why I said nothing to the contrary. I did but I also increased the map size You can’t say that by choosing what geysers are in the map you can’t learn anything. FOUR. Edit: It does allow us to delete geysers, but I didn’t see a way to add new ones. RTS are pretty straight forward -> Gather resources -> Build base -> Train troops -> Kill the enemy. Even if it’s not the best POI or location, it’s still fun to try and use it and even create designs that few would think of since it’s often unwanted by most. 5. For me what I’m looking for is a hydrogen geyser not far from spawn but THAT, I think is to much to be asking for. The must incredible stuff is the fact that water is also close to a … Press J to jump to the feed. But we should be able to do that in debug mode, if I’m not mistaken.
