Cannabis use among people living with kidney disease
Cannabis is the most commonly used federally illicit drug in the United States and state regulated recreational and medicinal use is increasing. Now, Missouri has legalized use of medical marijuana for chronic disease patients among others yet patients and healthcare professionals have little guidance or evidence regarding the impact of cannabis use on people with kidney disease. This discussion will provide an overview of cannabis and cannabinoids with relevance to the practice of nephrology so that clinicians can best take care of patients.
The evening’s Renal Roundtable program is complimentary to attendees. Space is limited, registration required for each of the evening lectures.
