about us:

Lemonhaze originally launched in 2015 as an ancillary data service provider for the Washington State cannabis industry. We provided information on sales rates through direct integration with retail point of sale systems and analysis of the public state information.

As Lemonhaze grew we recognized that while our data is very important, there was a need for more industry face-to-face connection. We began coordinating events for brands to meet one-on-one with specific target audiences like buyers and budtenders to discover the newest products available and to interact with other industry professionals. Initially, our events focused on the cashiers or “budtenders”, as they have the most customer interaction and act as brand ambassadors in the absence of advertising. Over time our events evolved to include networking between buyers, managers, executives, and owners as well as budtenders.

Due to the market forces of the Covid-19 pandemic, the focus of Lemonhaze events shifted to facilitating connections between brands and stores. The most common interaction needed to get a product from the “grow” to the sales floor is between the store buyer, and the brand sales team.

Through this the Lemonhaze Virtual Up Fronts were born. Generally speaking, a salesperson needs to contact a store purchaser or buyer in order to present their product, packaging, price point and other relevant information about their company. Because of Covid, meetings between brands and stores became almost impossible. Large convention-style events were tabled for the time being and we launched the Lemonhaze Up Fronts that spread across the country like wildfire, allowing buyers and salespeople to meet virtually in 20-minute rapid succession rotating one-on-one video sales meetings.

We have now expanded the Up-Front concept to include facilitating meetings between executives from multi-state operators (MSO’s) to meet directly with local cultivators in multiple states for the purpose of establishing licensing agreements.

Data is still a big portion of the Lemonhaze suite of products. Now, we focus on what learning what leads industry professionals to make the decisions they make. We provide budtender and buyer focus groups along with quarterly released white papers on a variety of topics that are important to the industry.
