Does Home Depot sell hydro mousse?

Herein, does Hydro mousse really work?

Now, Hydro Mousse says you can do the same thing at home. The commercial guarantees, “the grass grows where you spray it.” The packaging says Hydro Mousse is supposed to grow grass anywhere, in any weather, and Beckie can’t wait to see if it will work for her.

Also Know, can I buy Hydroseed? Hydroseeding is a process of laying grass seed where you spray a mixture of mulch, seeds, fertilizer, and water over a barren patch of the lawn. You can buy premade hydroseeding mixtures, or you can try your hand at making a DIY hydroseeding mixture (it may be cheaper that way!).

Does It Really Do That? Hydro Mousse

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Beckie Campbell likes to plant and take care of her yard. Her kids like to play in it and it gets a lot of traffic.

The family also has a trampoline that always leaves patches were grass just won’t grow.

“We’ve tried grass seed. We’ve really tried to plant grass to make it grow, but to no avail,” Beckie said.

KDKA-TV News Anchor/Does It Really Do That Reporter Jennifer Antkowiak asked Beckie to help test a product that claims it can help; and Beckie was thrilled to participate.

“I’m very excited and hopeful this will work,” she said.

You may have seen professionals spraying a green, foamy liquid on areas around highways to plant grass seed. Now, Hydro Mousse says you can do the same thing at home. The commercial guarantees, “the grass grows where you spray it.”

The packaging says Hydro Mousse is supposed to grow grass anywhere, in any weather, and Beckie can’t wait to see if it will work for her.

Hydro Mousse comes with a spray bottle that hooks up to your garden hose, a bag of grass seed, and a small bottle of green fluid. They call it an “eco-friendly seed-sticking solution.”

To test it, Beckie moved the trampoline. The directions say to break up the dirt, and Beckie’s toddler son was happy to help with that.

After they raked the area, Beckie added the grass seed to the line on the bottle that corresponds to the size of the area she wants to cover. Next, she added the green fluid.

It’s a little messy, but it doesn’t stain. Then, all that was left to do was attach it to the hose, adjust to light or heavy spray depending on the strength of the water pressure, and spray the patch evenly.

“I can definitely see where it’s going,” Beckie said, as the green, foamy substance sprayed out.

When the foam dried, Beckie and Jen could definitely see grass seed on the ground, but there was also a lot of grass seed left in the bottom of the spray bottle. Beckie tried again with stronger water pressure.

“Oh, look! That sprayed the rest out…yes, it did!” she said.

With the grass seed planted, it was time to wait. There’s no need to add fertilizer or protect the area with a layer of hay like Beckie’s used to doing.

The Hydro Mousse commercial shows great looking results with before and after pictures, and Beckie hoped for the same results.

The directions say she should see grass sprout in 7-14 days. Jen went back to Beckie’s house on day 11, and they saw the seeds, but no grass.

Beckie said she thought it sounded too good to be true.

“I’ve planted grass before and typically, I use a fertilizer or manure and I cover it with hay. So, I was a little skeptical because I didn’t have to put the other items on top,” she said.

So, Hydro Mousse claims grass grows where you spray it – go from seed to sod just like the pros. Does it really do that? Beckie says, no.
