Bruce Seeds’ quilt exhibit wraps up in Mount Dora

WHAT: This week marks the last chance to see Bruce Seeds’ quilts at the Bowersock Gallery in Mount Dora.

Although the pieces are functional, most designed to fit a queen-size bed, they are suitable for use as wall-hangings as well.

“There are those that twinkle or soothe, others that fill a space with exciting energy,” says gallery owner Steve Bowersock. “There is no question this is an artist working in cloth.”

Seeds’ work is found in many private collections and has been bought for public exhibition. His quilts have been displayed at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Seattle and the Milwaukee Museum of Fine Art. The Wisconsin-based artist also has appeared on the PBS television show “Sewing with Nancy.”

Bruce Seeds' artistic quilts are on view a few more days at the Bowersock Gallery in Mount Dora.
