Banana compost tea for cannabis

Several “organic flower stimulators” can be found in the list of products of big fertilisers brands, i.e. TopMax from BioBizz, Organic Bloom Stimulator from BAC, Repro Forte from Plagron, etc.

I am going to start with 16 x 45 liter bagpots and now is the question how to feed during flower, because during veg I am going to use only water.
Whole volume of substrate: about 750 l
Coco volume: 250 l
Perlite: 150 l
Vermiculite: 50 l
Prepared soil with compost and additions: 300 l

Additions include:
sawdust
bone meal
chinchilla litter
shale ash
coffee remains
eggshells

Please give me a piece of advice how to feed my plants during flowering cycle because the only nurtition I will be having (by now) is organic tea from bone meal, chinchilla litter and humus (starting a worm farm).

ok I got it but what about feeding during flower, not sure that organic tea is enough

Farsch, I grind 2 banana peels soak in 1 qt. water for 2 days, strain and use at 10 parts water to 1 part banana/water solution.
. it does not say this in the video but it WILL BURN at full strength! Be careful, you will be amazed how fat they get. google some other sites and it will say the same.

As HB said guano is some real good stuff. If you mix your guano with palm tree ashes (0-1-30; GK Organics by Guano Kalong is an easy brand to find) you have organic PK 13/14 basically. Causes some real serious swell from the examples I have seen. Good stuff. Obviously you need to get the mixing ratio right for it to be effective, so it will depend on the NPK of your bat guano as to how much palm ash you mix with it obviously. Bananas are a great idea and something I will likely do myself in the future too. Thanks for the vid no1.

Take it easy guys
Happy growing

I use compost tea with raw oatmeal mixed into it.

I am also trying this kelp extract product this season: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L2DB814?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
The kelp extract was recommended by another member who has good results with foliar feeding.

Just so I am sure no1, is that the peels of 2 whole bananas, or 2 strips of peel? Do you dry them 1st?

Hay @Horse Badorities (http://www.marijuanagrowing.com/member.php?u=16201), it’s 2 whole undried banana peels minced/chopped fine in a qt. of water, soak for 2 days in a dark area, covered with a lid. I use a 1 qt. plastic yogurt container. Strain before using and use this At 10 parts water to 1 part solution.

Great, I’ve got one more banana to go, LOL! Time to sharpen a knife!

I use a food processor, it’s like paste. the finer it is the less time needed to soak, add another day if coarsely chopped. It should have small bubbles happening on the top, some sort of reaction going on.

I was kidding about the knife! Ms H has a Ninja, and puts a banana in a smoothie everyday. we got peels and the technology to grind them!

no1 I’ll leave the chinchilla crap to the guys who wear man furs, but even if the banana peels don’t do a thing for the girls in the crawl, the strained glop puts my worms in a frenzy. It’s almost scary to open the bins, I hear snapping in there, lol!

I’ve been putting the strained juice on our tomatoes, too, ummmmm bacon, lettuce and banana flavored maters! The hot peppers get the next batch!

hay Hoss, aahaahaa, jist make sure to cut it 10 to 1. That stuff will burn bad and kill cannabis plants. It’s free and works awesome, I’m sure you’ll find out. Easy to make , 2 peels make a qt. and that lasts me 1 month, stored in the fridge. :watermelon:

These bananas must be weaker, LOL! First time, I made up a quart, cut it 10:1 with rain, and split it between 6 bloomers and 2 tomatoes. It actually did look like there was bit more bulk the next morning, but my eyes are bad, 5555. and, it didn’t kill them! I’ve since put a qt ea. on some more tomatoes. They look good, too. Really, they look really good, but they did before the monkey fruit.

Peppers are just starting to flower, so they are next, and are calcium pigs to boot. I use aragonite on the them (ground up mollusk shells), and the maters for taking care of blossom end rot, but the banana peel Ca should be much more accessible, at least I hope so!

As you know, every type of weed is different, the first time i made this, it was used about midway thru flower, and was used full power, stoner mistake. 12 hours later, 1 plant was dead in her tracks, 3 were suffering burn (they pulled thru) and 2 were doubled in diameter, overnight. It’s in my budget and it works.

Used some on 18” marigolds, bee balm and purple coneflower with good results in color and amount of new bud formations. Originally, tried it after the plants were budded and flowered. I notice additional budding, increased density and longer flowering time..

Use 3-4 ‘nana’s which may be what my original batch was. Don’t forget, we’re all stoners. Also is the size, (it matters)

I have been using Advanced Nuts they work very well for my garden.

The idea of my setup this time is not to use mineral-based fertilisers.
